If you are thinking about renting equipment to save money by doing the job yourself, you may want to take a closer look at the real cost. Renting equipment often includes added expenses beyond the advertised daily rate, such as insurance and state sales tax. For example, a Skid Steer rental at $225.00 per day, plus $20.00 for insurance and $13.50 for sales tax, brings the total to $258.50 for an 8-hour day. If you go over 8 hours, additional hourly charges apply.

You may also need to rent a trailer to haul the equipment, which can cost another $50.00 per day. That brings your total to more than $300.00 for just one day. On top of that, you need to factor in the time it takes to rent the machine, pick it up, and return it.

 

Then there is the question of experience. If you have never operated that type of equipment before, the project may take longer than expected, which could require renting it for an extra day. That could easily push your cost to over $600.00.

The Bobcat S250 Skid Steer consistently meets your high expectations for completing any project.  With the 6' attached bucket we can do just about any job you have for landscaping, dirt work, land leveling, trash cleanup or any other material. This Bobcat Skid Steer has the ability to run any of our hydraulically powered “attachments”. This is the perfect machine for any job too big for you and your shovel.

Bobcat T590 Skid Steer: I make small work of big projects, whether when I'm doing dirt work, landscaping, concrete preparation, french drains, or demolition, this Bobcat T590 will get the job done.  Its low ground pressure allows me to work in rough conditions or where you need to minimize ground disturbance - while still providing heavy load-carrying capacity and strong traction.  If space is limited or you're in rough conditions but you need high lift capacity, the Bobcat T590 Compact Track Loader is the perfect solution. It has the highest lifting height in the 500 series: ideal for loading and unloading bricks, blocks, and other palletized materials.

Tilt Trailer
Volvo Excavator 
Volvo EC20CV Excavator: The compact Excavator is designed to take on those large and small jobs. It has the ability to dig down 6’ and fit into tight places because of the size of the Excavator. The width of the tracks have the ability to go down from 52” to 42” so the Excavator has the ability to go through a 4’ backyard gate. It is light enough to avoid yard damage but big enough to handle most projects.

Bobcat S70 Skid Steer

Bobcat S70 Skid Steer: Compact but powerful! My Bobcat S70 skid-steer loader is small enough to get in tight spots, yet strong enough to get any job done. At only 36" wide, I bought it specifically to work alongside my Volvo Excavator to get into tight spaces and through backyard fences and to do minimal damage to delicate surrounding areas.This agile little workhorse is the ideal size for scooting through narrow doorways, corridors, small paths and gates, and for working under low ceilings. It's the perfect loader whenever the job is too big for a shovel or the space is too small for a larger machine. It's ideal for the typical home job that I specialize in.
